Inclement Weather

The Course Coordinator will contact the golf course to determine if the course is deemed to play. All members should proceed to the golf course unless notified by ChLGA Whatsapp.

If the weather condition is uncertain on the day of competition, the Chair, Vice Chair and the House Rule Committee will evaluate the situation and announce the rules of play prior to the first group teeing off. In case of inclement weather during the game, the Chair and/or Vice Chair will make the final and discretionary decision accordingly.

If the ChLGA Committee decides to call off the progressing game due to inclement weather or any other “unusual circumstances”, all players must have completed at least 15 holes of play in order for that game to be officially counted. Refer to the Game Rules section on how to calculate the score for the holes not played.

Where the golf course gives out full/partial refunds or rain checks, members will receive their share accordingly. ChLGA will not refund green fees unless the golf course agrees to. Where full 18-hole rain checks are given to all players, ChLGA will try to reschedule the game before the next game date. If no alternate date is available, that incomplete game will not be officially counted.

Cell Phones

All cell phones should be turned off during play. When a member is expecting an important call, she must get the consent of her teammates before the game starts, and keep her cell phone in “silent mode”.

Putting Contest

When a player has reached double par plus 1 strokes on any given hole, regardless of the position of the ball, she will pick up and forfeit her putting right for that hole. This pickup will speed up the round.

One Foot “Gimme”

When a ball comes to rest within one foot of the hole, it is considered a “gimme”. The player will pick up the ball, with the assumption that it will hole on the next stroke. The pickup will count as one stroke when entering your score..

Dinner

Presentations and dinner will begin promptly at 6p.m. Members and guests are to be seated at assigned tables.
